Homemade French Fries
Ingredients
- 5lb of russet potatoes
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Dried basil
- Drizzle olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Slice potatoes into long strips.
- Soak potato strips in cold water with ice for 30 minutes. This will help remove the starch.
- Drain the water and pat dry the potatoes.
- Once the potato strips are dry. Place them in a large bowl. Drizzle olive oil, garlic powder, paprika and dried basil. Mix into well incorporated.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spread the French fries evenly across the sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Flip the fries and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
